Founder and President
Megan Goebel (she/her) began her work as an advocate when her youngest child socially transitioned in 2019. In 2020, she founded Unity Conejo to unite individuals interested in creating inclusive spaces in the Conejo Valley. In 2022, she created this nonprofit to expand the organization's reach. Megan has dedicated herself to advocating for LGBTQIA+ youth and bringing together others interested in doing the same.
Vice President
Adria grew up in the Conejo Valley and lives there now with her husband and two children. Adria has been in the early childhood field for more than 30 years and had served in numerous roles including teacher, administrator, trainer/consultant and college educator. She currently teaches at a local university and sits on numerous boards related to the well-being of children.
Treasurer
Jeremy is life-long Conejo Valley resident currently residing there with his wife and two children. He is an educational consultant dedicated to creating safe and civil environments for every child in every school. As a former classroom teacher, school principal, and district administrator, he has a keen interest in ensuring that our most vulnerable students have welcoming and affirming spaces in all aspects of their lives.
Secretary
Jessica is a parent of two children and a child psychologist. Born and raised on the East Coast, Jessica has lived in California for over a decade and moved to the Conejo Valley with her partner and children five years ago. Jessica is thrilled to join Unity Conejo, bringing both her personal and professional experience to support local queer youth and their families.
Board Member At Large
Rachael currently teaches at CSU Channel Islands. As part of the LGBTQIA+ community, Rachael is passionate about community resources, education, and connection here in Thousand Oaks.
Board Member At Large
Lily is a graduate of Newbury Park High School and California Lutheran University, and lives in Thousand Oaks with her wife. She is a former Army combat medic, and currently works as a software engineer. She is committed to using her varied experience to support and defend the diversity of the Conejo Valley.
